Pepperdine Alumni Competition (All Schools)
On March 8, Pepperdine's five schools will compete to generate the highest participation of alumni donors based on each school’s alumni population size. Schools will be awarded bonuses to their student scholarships, thanks to a $50,000 gift from GSEP alum and Board of Visitor Dr. Randy Clark (EdD '05):

  • 1st place: $15,000
  • 2nd place: $12,000
  • 3rd place: $10,000
  • 4th place: $8,000
  • 5th place: $5,000

Pepperdine Group Facebook Challenge
Graziadio alumna, Seaver parent, and Board of Visitor Dr. Danni Sun (MBA ’99) challenges your Pepperdine program or group to post an inspiring picture/story to the “Pepperdine University” Facebook page with why your group gives back to Pepperdine using #Give2Pepp and tag yourselves in it. The group whose post has the most likes by 5:00 PM PST on March 8 will get to choose where this $5,000 award goes within Pepperdine University!

$3,500 to Seaver Student Scholarships

Seaver Parents Challenge
With their $35,000 gift to the Seaver College Adopt-A-Dorm program, an anonymous family challenges parents and family members of Seaver students to follow their lead by each giving a gift to help endow the fund, hoping that at least 5 families from each of the 20 residence halls will participate.

Graduate Student Challenge
Graduate School Class Giving Officer Lauren Ryan (’15) challenges current graduate students to give back on March 8 to unlock this gift to their school’s student scholarship fund. The school with the highest percentage of student donors based on current enrollment will win!

$1,000 to School of Law Student Scholarships

Graziadio Dean’s Challenge
With their $50,000 gift to help endow the Center for Applied Research, newly installed Dean van Rensburg and his wife Rozanne challenge 200 Graziadio alumni, students, faculty, staff, and friends to join them to invest in research initiatives that will further Graziadio’s thought-leadership in the world.

With their $10,000 gift to the Graziadio Dean’s Excellence Fund, a PKE couple challenges all Graziadio alumni to demonstrate support for the school’s new dean, Dr. Deryck J. van Rensburg, by making a gift to this fund in his honor.

GSEP Participation Challenge
Dr. Betty Uribe (MBA ’00, EdD ’12) and California Bank & Trust are “Tagging in” with a $10,000 gift to support student scholarships at the Graduate School of Education & Psychology. They openly challenge 100 fellow GSEP alumni, students, faculty, staff, and friends to follow their lead and increase the funds available to incoming students by giving to scholarships on March 8. School of Law Scholarship Challenge
With his $20,000 gift to support School of Law student scholarships, a current 3L challenges 150 fellow students, alumni, faculty, staff, and friends to follow his lead by giving to scholarships on March 8 to increase the pool of funds available to incoming students and allow the school to continue to attract the best and brightest candidates.

School of Law Student Emergency Fund Challenge
With their $50,000 gift enabling the launch of the School of Law Student Emergency Fund, anonymous families challenge students, alumni, and friends of the School of Law to follow their lead by contributing to the fund.

School of Law Student Challenge
Dean of Students Steven Schultz challenges each current SOL student to give at least $5 to the SOL Student Emergency Fund by March 8, and he pledges to give $100 to the SOL Student Emergency Fund for every 10 students who participate.

SPP Happy Hour Challenge
In honor of SPP's upcoming 20th anniversary, Assistant Dean Sheryl Covey wants to treat each student and alumnus who gives back to SPP from 4:00-7:00 PM PST on March 8. Sheryl will give an additional $10 to SPP scholarships for each student and alumnus who gives back during this “happy hour!”

SPP Dean’s Challenge
Dean Peterson (MPP ’07) has partnered with Assistant Dean Carson Bruno and SPP's Senior Advancement Officer Matt Cutler to give $500 to SPP if 25 or more SPP alumni participate in Give2Pepp on March 8.

Athletics Bonus Pool Competition
On March 8, the five teams/programs that generate the most donors (a gift of at least $5) per person (official student-athlete team count plus coaching staff) will be awarded bonuses to their team from former Athletic Board Chairs John & Jackie Rettberg and Friend of the Waves Tony Tryon:

  • 1st place: $5,000
